WILLIAM W. WOJASINSKI
For Lexington, Georgetown and surrounding areas.
William W. Wojasinski has been involved with the martial, healing, and meditation arts for nearly 45 years. During that time he has studied, both in the USA and China, Hung Gar and Wing Chun Gung Fu, Aikido, Chinese Chin Na, Spring Forest Qigong and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan. His instructors include internationally recognized Masters Bucksam Kong, Augustine Fong, and Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming. William has concentrated his study of Tai Chi Chuan under the direct Yang family lineage holders Master Yang Zhenduo (4th generation Yang family) and Master Yang Jun (5th generation Yang family lineage holder) as well as Han Hoong Wang (Disciple of Master Yang Zhenduo). He is co-founder of the Kentucky Yang Chengfu Tai Chi Chuan Center where, as one of only 32 Directors certified by the Yang family, he teaches the complete curriculum of Traditional Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan.
William believes that the “mind/body integration” is an important part of a person’s overall wellness program. He teaches both Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong as cost-effective self-care strategies that facilitate a lifestyle of health-related behavior practices such as good posture, healthy breathing and relaxation. His philosophy that “the simplest things are usually the most powerful” reflects in his teaching of techniques that combine the benefits of good posture, physical movement, deep breathing, relaxation, and “mind awareness”. These simple, yet powerful techniques of simple movements, mental focus, breathing and meditation help to promote healing and lifelong wellness.
William is available for group and private lessons, weekend workshops, and for get-away retreats. Classes in evidence-based, health-oriented techniques for healthcare professionals and educators as well as support to corporate wellness programs are also available. Offerings also include specialized classes oriented toward arthritis, diabetes, stress management and healthy aging as well as a seated Tai Chi program for the office, people with limited mobility or are wheelchair-dependent.
